Information for the 2010-2011 School Year
Please read this information carefully before completing the registration form. The form must be submitted with your $60 non-refundable registration fee.
All three-year-olds and four-year-olds may be enrolled at Village Preschool provided they are potty trained. Students are accepted throughout the school year.
After the school receives your registration form and fee, the following will be sent to you for completion:
- White Card for general information
- Questionnaire
- Transportation Form
- Emergency Release
- Medical Form
- Guidance and Discipline Policy
- Late Pick up Policy
If your child attended Village Preschool last year, the medical form we have on file may be sufficient as they are valid for two years. The physical exam must be done within 6 months of the start of school.
Please record these important dates on your calendar:
- Forms (except medical) and first month’s tuition are due no later than Monday, May 10
No tuition refunds after Friday, July 30 - The medical form may be submitted on Orientation Day
- $45.00 music education fee is due on Orientation Day
Orientation Day Open House
You will receive a Village Preschool Handbook and Calendar on Orientation Day
2-day-a-week classes: Tuesday, September 7 between 9:00 and 11:00am
3-day-a-week classes: Friday, September 3 between 9:00 and 11:00am
4-afternoon-a-week class: Tuesday, September 7 between 1:00 and 3:00pm
School is not in session on these days. The purpose of Orientation Day is to acquaint you and your child with the teachers and the classroom, for the teachers to give parents information about the school year, and to be sure all paperwork is completed prior to the first day of school. Come with your child any time between the hours indicated above.
First Day of School
First day for 2-day-a-week classes is Thursday, September 9
First day for 3-day-a-week classes is Wednesday, September 8
First day for 4-afternoon-a-week class is Wednesday, September 8
The Lunch Program begins on Monday, September 13 and is offered on a day-to-day basis. Parents must sign up their children on the sheets located on the hall bulletin board by 9:15am of the day their child plans to stay for lunch. Children enrolled in the morning classes may stay until 2:00pm for a cost of $15 per day. Afternoon students may come to school at 11:40am and stay until class begins for a cost of $10 per day. Village Preschool provides a hot lunch. Menus for each week will be posted on the bulletin board. If you sign up for lunch, neglect to cancel, and your child does not stay, you will be responsible to pay the $5 cost of the lunch. You may call the school before 9:00am, and leave a message regarding any change in lunch plans.
